How to you get to Tamarindo?
From Liberia’s Daniel Oduber International Airport, enjoy a pleasant drive direct to our hotel. As a service to our distinguished guests we can arrange a Transfer for you from the Airport to the Tamarindo Dira in a private, air conditioned vehicle that will take up to 8 people. Should you decided to drive on your own, exit Liberia Airport, and drive 1.2 miles to the main road and turn right. Continue driving and pass the towns of Guardia, Comunidad, Palmira, Filadelfia and Belén for approximately 25 minutes. When you arrive to Belén, turn right at the Gas Station. You will pass by Santa Ana and Huacas. At Huacas, approximately 14 miles (25 minutes) turn left towards Tamarindo. Drive approximately 10 minutes until you see a sign before the town of Villareal that indicates a right turn to Tamarindo. Make that right turn and drive into Tamarindo itself. You will still need to drive into central Tamarindo where the Tamarindo Diria Beach & Golf Resort is located on the right side of the street, approximately 5 minutes from when you make the turn into town. You will see the hotel sign. The drive from Liberia’s airport to the Tamarindo Diria Beach & Golf Resort is approximately 1 hour and 32 miles. We can also arrange a Transfer for you from San Jose’s Juan Santamaria International Airport. That drive is approximately 5 hours. Approximately 18 miles from the intersection you will arrive to El Puente de la Amistad, which is a big bridge with red holding cables. Cross that bridge. Approx 30 minutes (11miles) driving from the bridge you will get to route # 21, please turn right. Go towards Nicoya, approximately 46 miles from the intersection with route #18, pass through Santa Cruz. IMPORTANT. You will see a sign when you get to Santa Cruz that says Tamarindo 30 km. Is it true that Tamarindo is a hot location for vacation homes? Why else would Forbes magazine call Tamarindo Costa Rica’s “…most popular beach?” It’s because so many people want to be here. Fact is, Tamarindo is more than a typical Costa Rican beach town. Just look at the numbers: 2,000 full-time residents, and during the Gold Season there can be twice that many people. Primarily, the enticements are surfing and eco-tourism, which has also brought in a healthy real estate development. How can I get in on the real estate boom?
