Descriptions
The water duck measure 86 cm average, and weigh 1.2 kg, his neck is longer, and a pointed beack. The plumage goes from black color to brown, it depend of sex.
When they are in reproduction they usually change the color of his face from brown to green, and also his neck gets a clear color. It is possible to be seen them in the trunks, with his extended wings.
Feeding
They used their beack as a lance to hunt fish, and it is normally to be seen them with all his body under the water, and just his head on the surface, the water duck also eats aquatic insects, young caymans, small turtles, and snakes.
Distribution
From the west of United States to the west of the Ecuador, and the north of Argentina and Uruguay.
