Descriptions The real heron is one of the most beautiful herons and elegant than they exist in Costa Rica, it characterizes by his long neck and its impeccable white plumage. On the other hand, they are intolerantes to each other when feeding itself, and due to this they are scattered to the maximum throughout the area available. Distribution It is a species of ample distribution, common locally in the low parts and sometimes to average elevations in the Central Valley. In Guanacaste most of these birds they are probably resident permanent, although the small local population often increases due to the entrance of migratory and resident individuals of winter, between October and April, mainly in the side of the Caribbean.
